Our Mission
ShortStop is a Transitional Housing Program for young adults ages 18-22.Transitional Housing is a supportive housing program intended to facilitate the movement of homeless individuals to permanent housing. Depending on the program, individuals may live in transitional housing for 18-24 months.
In addition to housing, participants receive a range of supportive services designed to promote participant self-sufficiency through skill building, permanency planning and supportive relationships. While at ShortStop, residents connect with resources focused on housing, education, employment and health.
Our mission is based on the premise that every young person deserves a safe and supportive place to live, in order to develop his or her potential as an individual and member of the greater community.
More information on specifics of the program can be found in our handbook. Please feel free to download a copy and read it over if you have further questions. Please note the handbook needs to be printed double sided and the pages folded over to be in correct format.
